I got a female ball python and she finish sheddin?
My snake finished shedding all her skin two week ago and she is sheddin again and I use F工ŠＨ thermometer and its on 90 degrees in the hot and 80 on the cold .Is that temperature good or do I need to change it? And how I can put the temp down and up cuz I got a 75 watt sun glow bulb and a 75 watt night glow bulb for my snake.I just want to know if there is a better bulb that is good for her?I'm kind of new to this I just want to make sure I'm doind it correctly and taking care of my snake like I should.Is it recommendable to put a shirt or tape po the cold siode to keep in the heat as I was told tothat it was good to do.
Hmmm. Several issues here... what are you monitoring the heat and humidity with?
You don't need to cover any portion of the tank, unless it's cold, and you can't get the tank warm enough.
You should be using a piece of equipment which measures the SURFACE temperature of the environment, not the ambient air temp. A strip thermometer just won't work, and can be inaccurate up to 20 degrees. You'll need to invest in a digital probe thermometer or an infrared temperature gun for accurate readings.
You'll need a good hygrometer to measure humidity. Peel & stick meters can be very inaccurate.
For adjusting the temps. on the lights or UTH mat, you need a Rheostat/thermostat.
Frequent shedding can be an indicator of health issues. Shedding every 2 wk. is a bit much... Is this typical for your snake? What is its shedding history, and how frequently are you feeding?
