what is the most active lizard?
I may be getting some form of lizard soon, ive looked at leopard geckos, yemen chameleons and bearded pygmy chameleons, what will be the most active, (to be honest i don't want a leopard gecko because you cant handle them and if they get stressed/ scared they lose their tails). I also want something that i can care for and entertain it myself (such as an exo Terra Reptile den tunnel system). I don't need telling how to look after it as i have done my research in advance, the only thing i cant find is how active they are.
In my opinion if it is your first time keeping a reptile i would suggest staying away from chameleons as they are the most delicate reptiles that are available, because they need a lot of care, due to the high humidity that they need. If you were to go for an active reptile that you can handle whenever you should probably go for the leopard gecko (the only loose there tail if they feel threatened, The only problem is that they are most active at night.)
If you are wanting something that you can walk around the house with on your shoulder or watch TV without having to worry that it will run around your house you might want to consider a Bearded Dragon. The grow to be anywhere between 18" to 26" and have a varied diet of live foods such as crickets, locusts, meal worm and wax worms. They may also take vegetables such as curly kale, peppers, carrots, sweet potato, mainly any greens BUT NOT ICEBERG LETTUCE!.
This maybe a more active reptile for you to look into having.
