i would like to ask you about a few things.
1. crickets. is it true that small-med crickets dont chirp?
2. i found a site online that sells them in 1000 bulk. and im sure they would not be eatin in the first week. what do you keep them in, how do you keep them alive?
3.what wood (that is sold at home depot) would i make a 4x2x2 cage out of for my beardeddragon .
4. is there such thing as a uva and uvb bulb in one? how much electricity does it cost to run these lights a month?
5.how long would it take for a Bearded Dragon to exceed 1ft. in that large cage( if they truly do grow to their surroundings)
6.at what age is it safe to use sifted sand . i plan on using newspaper for quite a few months.
7. if they dont drink from their bowl, how do these dragons drink?
8. small pool with not to much water in cage good idea or bad?
9. crickets + green turnips good combo for dragon of all ages as everyday food?
Ok, crickets will always chirp, it is best to get a small/medium storage container with egg crates. You can go to petsmart or any other pet store an they should have cricket food and water. They do need this.Wood is not a good home for a bearded dragon, I have two. They need at 50 gallon tank so they can grow properly, a place to hide in warmth, a cool place, at least one plnat/fake is always best, water dish. If they are babies or juvinile, you need to spray them with water at least twice a day or soak them in luke warm water or they will dehydrate. There isnt a bulb like that in one, but you can buy a fixture that has a place for two bulbs for that convience. And they do need both. It takes about one year to get that long. Oh it is not that much money to run the lights, you really shouldn't use sand at all because they can not digest it, use terrerium liner. The pool is ok if you change it every day, make sure the water does not go over there heads. They need crickets everyday, and no turnips, romaine hearts, red leaf lettuce, shaved carrots, frozen peas, collard greens, some fruits but not to much kinda like a treat, let me know if there is anything else you need!!
