Reptile Mat Heater NEED HELP!?
I have a leopard gecko and when the lamp wasn't enough for heat I just bought a "Heat Wave Dessert Heater" and its not keeping it hot at all. It has be on the bottom of the tank with the power on for a couple hours and when i touch the reptile or cage carpet its just a little warm and i don't think its keeping my LG hot enough. Should I put the lamp back on with the mat or what is going on?? Thanks
Do not use a bulb for Lepard Geckos, they are nocturnal and the bulb will fry them. You also shouldnt be using carpet as their toes can get caught in the loops and fall off. The ZooMed Under Tank heaters do create enough heat for an enclosed aquarium assuming the room temperature is average.
